How To Play Nuts VS Crazy ๐ฟ
It’s the Main Villain Alan, Julio, who raises everything he sees, and me again. We all are around 100bb.
Julio limps, Alan completes the Small Blind.
I am sitting and doing nothing on the big blind, just check my option with 10 7 offsuit and flop the nut straight.
Alan leads for 2,5bb and with no flush draw on board I decide to check and hope Julio puts in a light raise number 152 of the hour.
The plan works perfectly as he makes it 8bb to go and the Main Villain makes it 28bb on an apparent resteal (he looks weak but inspired and creative). We bump up a limped pot in a 5 seconds here, anytime.
I could overcall but that would look super strong while calling the initial bet and then reshoving might look suspicious. So I jam. Julio says “Good move” and folds what he said later was J 9. Villain somehow quickly calls me with... Q 7o, drawing for a chop, and I scoop.
Conclusion:
if your opponents keep raising and reraising with all sorts of marginal hands in the multi-way pots, don’t take away their job. Subtly present them with a rope.
Take creative lines when you flop the world.
Had I raised Alan’s initial bet, I would have won a small pot on the flop.
Had just I flatted Alan’s flop reraise, Julio would have folded anything but a set anyway and Alan would not put any more money in the pot of most of the runouts because my overcall would look too strong,
